The 4th generation family-run Hotel Sackmann is nestled in the midst of the romantic Murg-valley. A Black Forest welcome is both calming and exciting—nature’s diversity of this Unesco World Heritage site greets you with open arms, while fine culinary treasures await you tickle your palate.
Chef and visionary Jörg Sackmann fulfilled his life long dream by opening the gourmet restaurant Schlossberg right here. It’s a place where his extraordinary creativity and culinary skills can thrive. The renovations of the hotel and all of its facilities were completed in 2020—meaning that everything, including the Schlossberg is shiny and new. The harmonious ambience of the restaurant tastefully reflects its surroundings. An imaginative cuisine and infinite ingenuity take the guests into another realm. Chef de cuisine Jörg Sackmann, who manages the Schlossberg together with his son Nico, draws his inspiration from the serene Mediterranean savoir vivre and many diverse Asian (as well as other) flavors.
Jörg Sackmann is a master of aromas: he skillfully pairs his creative dishes with an extensive range of fine wines, granting his guests a sensory culinary experience. The exclusive wine lounge and the RheinHOLZ Café & Bar with its marvelous terrace overlooking the Murg-valley are new additions to the hotel. They both abide by the hotel’s ideals—in other words, pleasure knows no bounds.
Aromas also play a leading role in the 1,000 m² indoor Burgfels SPA with its sauna world. The wellness concept merges modern design with natural materials. By incorporating a unique thematic landscape of aromas, spices, salt, wine and honey Jörg Sackmann has used his expertise and intuition to connect the diverse aromas from his kitchen with the pure relaxation of the spa.
To top it off, an outdoor wellness heaven is ready to take your breath away: the exclusive, 1,000m² Murgtal-Sky-outdoor SPA offers pure holistic bliss. It stretches out on the roof of the hotel, its impressive sky-infinity pool has an enormous view, and there is a barefoot skywalk, several lounges and much more. Its design concept reflects the surrounding nature: sophisticated chill out areas, various loungers to relax in and exciting theme-lounges have been created with your holistic wellbeing in mind. It’s a Mecca for those who like to enjoy life with all of their senses.
